Can I Reuse My Topper And How Do I Care For It?

Acrylic cake toppers are reusable and can be immersed in warm soapy water and carefully wiped. Please do not place inside the dishwasher. Our Wooden cake toppers have a food safe stake and can be reused. We recommend that you do not submerge in water. Mirrored acrylic scratches easily so please take care when wiping. We recommend you only damp wipe the stake. All cake toppers should be stored in a box to avoid breakage.

Do You Have A Returns Policy

At ETCHED, we take a lot of care in packaging your product however if it arrives in the post damaged, please email a photo within 24 hours of arrival and we will happily replace it for you.

Please choose carefully as we do not accept refunds due to the custom made nature of our products. With custom made products, please ensure you check the spelling of required text as we do not accept returns if you have approved a design and there is a spelling mistake.

How Do I Put The Topper In To My Cake?

We strongly recommend using a skewer to make a hole and then place the topper into the cake. Do NOT use the text to push the topper in, instead use the stake only. Our toppers are designed to be strong, however if you have selected a script font, they will still be delicate.

We do not replace toppers if you break them when inserting into the cake.

Can Your Toppers Catch Fire?

Yes, they can! They are made from acrylic or wood, which are flammable materials. Do not place candles underneath or close to the topper.

Do You Make Custom Designed Cake Toppers?

Yes we do. This is one of our favourite things to do!! Work with our head designer, to create a one-off design that is unique to you. We will work closely with you to ensure your vision comes to life.

I Have Ordered a Custom Made / Personalised Item. What Now?

Once your order has been placed, your design will be emailed to you for approval within 1-2 weeks. Your job is to ensure the spelling is correct and once you are happy, we will then commence with the engraving. Customised products have a turnaround time of 2 to 3 weeks plus postage time.

PLEASE check the spelling of your product, as once you approve the design, we do not take any responsibility for the mistake.

If you require your order urgently, we do provide a rush order service. We will have your order designed, emailed to you for approval and in the post within 24 hours. You will pay $5.00 for regular post, however we will upgrade it to EXPRESS to ensure it gets to you as fast as possible.

My Wooden Product Looks Different From The Picture?

When ordering products made from wood, please keep in mind that every tree is individual so will have slight differences in colour tone and markings. This is why we love using sustainable wood and it makes each piece individual with a gorgeous rustic, natural feel.

Why Are There Burn Marks on My Wooden Product?

Our products are made using a laser engraving machine and sometimes, charring or slight burning during the cutting process can occur on the outside of the wood, particularly on the back. Where possible, products are hand sanded to remove any excessive charring. Minor laser charring is not considered a fault.

Is The Wood You Use Environmentally Friendly?

Absolutely! All wood used by ETCHED is sustainable, so environmentally sourced and purchased from Australian suppliers.

May Cake Is 7” Wide. Will a 6” Cake Still Work?

Yes, our 6” designs work perfectly on a 7” cake, especially if you are adding other decorations to the top. If you would like to upgrade to an 8” design, you can select this.

How Long Does Postage Take

Regular post takes 3-6 business days for metro areas and regional can take longer. Express post can take between 1-3 business days.
